Vision and Value of The Arlaadi Somali Community In Luton is to service and help of in the community who are in need of help in variety of ways. Arlaadi Somali Community Promotes education as it was said before no one is too old to learn. Learning is the key of ones success and the back bone of the human life. Without learning there would have been no knowledge and no one would have been in the space. So, learn today and teach tomorrow, because there's no failure but deferred success!! by Arlaadi Somali Community Administrator. Arlaadi Somali community is non-profit community-based organization, founded in Manchester and Luton in members of the Somali Arlaadi community. The group was established in 2002 to give help and support to Somali speakers and particularly Mai-Mai speakers who have fled the ongoing Civil War in Somalia and inclusively all other communities. Arlaadi Somali Community provides a range of activities to support the integration of refugees and aslyum seekers and those of new British citezens to the host British Community. Our core service is advice work, which we provide from our office we provide 5 days a week drop-in with signposting, translation, interpreting, immigration signposting,housing, jobcentre, welfare rights (informing clients about different benefits and filling form for them), healthcare issues and education. We also run supplementary youth activities such as football and swimming, after school activities and a weekly women’s drop in. We are providing cultural activities and also a simple meal for all children each week.
We are based in Luton but provide our services city-wide. We work with over 400 families.
